5 days till the MS Walk! I still haven't packed, still haven't made sure I have walkin gear… Sheesh, I better get to it!

Okay, so I downloaded the trial of Photoshop 8 last weekend and got to messing around with it tonight, just wondering how the other side lives. I was surprised, but it just doesn't do it for me like everyone else. I am much more comfortable using Gimp and make a lot fewer mistakes. I'm kinda the type that gets uneasy about software assuming stuff for you, I guess. It just seems like I have more control over the photos using Nautilus and Gimp to manage them. Received the Netflix streaming disc for the Wii today. Have to say I am amazed how much work they put into it. I can actually add videos to the queue with it. Pretty slick! Well, off to the movies. It will be interesting to see what's next with this whole IPTV thing. Continue reading →

It's weird how somebody mentions they got a bandwidth upgrade and all of a sudden your own connection gets shot to hell. I think it may be time to put my router out to pasture. It's only 4, maybe 5 years old now. Time to modernize! I think it's the curse of IT people that you figure out how to workaround stuff to the point where you get overly content. I'm not much of a gamer, so it never really came up till now. Maybe I should just call up Sprint, skip a few steps and have a WiMax cell installed on my roof. Think the neighbors would mind? hehe.
